Information about the 2010 Every Chapter Challenge

The American Association of Grant Professionals (AAGP) Foundation’s Board of Directors encourages each of the AAGP's local chapters to make a donation to the 2010 Every Chapter Challenge.

The 2010 Every Chapter Challenge is a wonderful way every AAGP Chapter can strengthen the grants profession. The Board of Directors are expecting 100% participation this year from the AAGP Chapters. The Foundation will award all of the funds donated by the Chapters this year to next year’s GPC Scholarships recipients attending the 2011 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada. This decision mirrors the results of the 2009 Members Survey, in which the members selected scholarships as their top priority.

This year, the Foundation partnered with the Grant Professional Certification Institute (GPCI) to offer GPC Scholarships and received 19 quality applications. GPCI announced that 6 recipients were selected for the awards in 2010. The Foundation’s 2010 Conference Scholarships application period closed on June 30, 2010. The selection committee reviewed the 29 applications received and announced 7 recipients on August 9, 2010.

The GPC Scholarships and the 2010 Conference Scholarships were made possible by the efforts and donations from the AAGP Chapters last year. Thanks to members from the Arizona, Broward County - Florida, Georgia Chapter, Heart of America – Kansas, National Capital Area and the Tennessee Chapters. The Georgia Chapter, the Metro-Atlanta Association of Grant Professionals (www.MAAGP.org), raised the most funds nation-wide and was once again named the Star Chapter (also the Star Chapter for 2008).

Budget for the 2011 Annual Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada
Early-bird Conference Registration: $475
Conference Hotel/Lodging: $600

Total for one Conference Scholarship is: $1,075

If you are not a member of a Chapter, you are invited to participate by donating to the Chairman’s Scholarship fund. Please contact the AAGP Foundation at foundation@grantprofessionals.org for more information.

The deadline for the 2011 Conference Scholarships is May 31, 2011. The scholarship application is online. The Foundation Board of Directors invites everyone (AAGP members and non-members) to apply.
